Tip 1.
Level both your fishing along with cooking.
Simply collect
the raw materials that you need as you go in one place to the next increasing your fishing skills. Leveling your
cooking skill to 450 will enable you to cook just about anything you'll ever need in the game.
It's a lot
easier to be collecting all of your cooking materials by fishing off a dock then it is to farm meat from places
all over the world.

Tip 2.
Fishing in Pools
Whenever your
fishing in a pool you will only be able to catch fish for Ace certain period of time just like in real life if
you continued fishing in the same pool eventually all the fish would be gone. Once all the fish are gone you
will have to wait before returning to this pool in order to fish the once again.
Tip 3.
Buff Up Fishing Lurs
Increase your
effectiveness of every fishing level with buffs. This does not mean you will increase the speed at which you
level, instead it will increase your ability to catch useful fish and other extras from the area that you are
fishing.
Shiny Bauble,
Nightcrawlers, Aquadynamic fish Lens and Flesh Eating Worm. Shiny Bauble and Nightcrawlers can be acquired
through vendors, and the Flesh Eating Worm is a drop.

Tip 4.
Catching Rare Fishing Equipment
The Arcanite
Fishing Pole - this particular pool will increase your fishing skill by 40. However you must have a minimum
fishing level of 300. The good news is your character does not need to be any more than a level 1.
How do you
obtain this pool? You will need to win the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, which is a weekly fishing
tournament. It is the only tournament for fishing in the game. The good news is 40 competitors are allowed to
compete in this particular tournament. The bad news is only one per realm can win per week.
This
tournament takes place in Stranglethorn Vale every Sunday at 2:00 pm. You will need to have the “find fish”
ability, and you should find an area with Fishing Pools before the event starts so you will be ready. If
possible bring along a friend to become your scout to find the next pool that you can fish once the current pool
you've been fishing in has been drained.
