The Mage – Another Great Class in Our Book 

The Mage is a favorite to many. You will be able to use fire, frost and arcane. Personally, we like arcane as it deals a lot of damage. Mages are effective when it comes to escaping as they can use blink, ice armor and frost nova spells.

If you are looking for a long range class, then this is definitely for you as they do damage from far away. You will be able to higher the range of certain spells by purchasing glyphs from the auction house.

As a mage, you will be able to transport yourself and party members by using the portals. Take note that mages are the only ones that are able to use portals. If there is one downfall to the mage class, it would be the fact that you are restricted to use cloth. However, believe it or not, there is some pretty nice cloth armor available that also looks quite good.

The races that are allowed to be mages are human, undead, troll, blood elf, draenei and gnome. As a mage, you will be able to use staves and wands. With training, you can use swords and daggers. There are some pretty good staves, which you will be able to purchase on auction house. You should pay attention to your intellect, which is your mana;your spirit, which is your regeneration rate and your stamina, which is your health.
